Hover Preview List
Hover a row and its image fades in under the cursor and follows it, trailing just behind. Move to the next row and the image swaps in place rather than flying back in.

Put your list items in Rows and their images in Previews, in the same order: the first preview belongs to the first row. A preview can be any layer, so a video or a card works as well as a photo, and it is sized to fill the preview box. There is a single image that follows the cursor, so moving between rows swaps the picture in place rather than flying a new one in. The image is pinned to the window, so a section that clips its content, an overlay or a page scroll cannot cut it off or pull it away from the cursor. Phones and tablets have no cursor to follow, so on touch the rows simply behave as normal rows.
